Ideal Candidates must be able to:
- Provide top-rated care for children
- Instruct children to promote social, emotional, spiritual, and academic well-being
- Teach social skills at an age appropriate level
- Provide emotional care (hugging, holding, singing, etc.) to children in an appropriate and beneficial way
- Carry out lesson plans as provided by the curriculum/director in the absence of a lead teacher
- Attend to the basic needs of children, including diaper changing, toilet training, dressing, and feeding
- Encourage language development by narrating daily activities
- Establish and maintain techniques for keeping order in the classroom
- Keep all areas sanitary to promote good health and well-being
- Follow center guidelines for completing child assessments and daily reports
- Arrive to work on-time and ready to work
- Maintain a gossip-free work environment
- Adhere to the guidelines stated in the employee handbook
- Be flexible in the workplace, as far as working with children of different age groups
Minimum Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent AND at least one year working with children less than 13 years of age.
