Meet Our Team

Amanda is the Center Director at Full Heart Child Care. Amanda holds a bachelor’s degree in Elementary and Early Childhood Education, and a master’s degree in Childhood and Early Childhood Special Education. She taught 3rd and 4th grade for several years in Hamburg, NY before moving to the Rochester area. She lives in Fairport with her husband and Goldendoodle named Jack! She has worked as a director of child care for almost 4 years but loves being with Full Heart because of the family atmosphere! Amanda is a multi-tasker so if she had a super power it would be to clone herself! In her free time, Amanda enjoys spending time with her family, organizing things, playing with her puppy, and traveling!

FHCC Team Web Krista Nappo

Miss Krista joined the Full Heart Infant team in September 2018. She has her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology along with a degree in Early Childhood Education. She is the oldest of three children and enjoys spending time with her boyfriend and family when she is not seeking out treasures at thrift stores! She loves doing crafty things as well. She relocated to Rochester about three years ago from New Jersey. She thinks that being a teacher is like having a super power. She is able to juggle lots of tasks at once, and with ease! Krista’s favorite part about teaching young children is watching them grow and reach different milestones!

Miss Sylvia has a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education. She has been working with infants and young children for over 20 years. She loves doing art projects with the babies and snuggling them all day! She would love to be able to travel wherever she would like to go and have lots of worldly experiences. In her free time, Sylvia enjoys gardening!

Miss Natalya is the afternoon teacher assistant in our infant program! She holds a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood and Childhood Education. She is married with three children ranging in age from 2 to 7 years old and also has a cat named Puffy. She has been with Full Heart since October 2017 and loves being able to talk with families at pick-up about what their child has done that day. She enjoys creating experiences that are memorable for children and families and especially loves all the cuddles she gets in the infant room!

In June 2018, Miss Emily joined the Full Heart Infant team. She is currently a nursing student at Hartwick College. She enjoys reading, DIY projects, and spending time with her loved ones in her free time. She also speaks Spanish and loves playing with her dog, Lacey. If Emily had a super power, it would be to be able to speak and write in every language, so she could connect and converse with all people! Her favorite part of working with young children is seeing them figure out so many new things!

Miss Tara joined the Full Heart team in August 2018 as an Infant Teacher Assistant. As the mother of 3 children aged 5-13, she has always enjoyed working with children. Her days are full of adventure with her children and her hobbies, which include hiking, bowling, and crocheting. Tara loves the energy that young children have and being able to put a smile on their faces. She treats the children in her care just as she treats her own- with understanding and patience.

Miss Natalie has worked for Full Heart since the center opened in May of 2017. She has a college education in Early Childhood Psychology and is known for exploring the “whys and hows” child development. Originally from Corning, she has lived and taught early childhood in Alexandria, Virginia and in Rochester for almost 12 years total! In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her son, playing rugby, listening to music, working out, and doing art activities. If she could have any super power, Natalie would like to be able to read minds! Natalie loves the great relationships she has formed with children, families, and coworkers at Full Heart!

FHCC Team Web Ciara TrudeauSmith

Miss Ciara joined the Full Heart team in September 2018. She has her Associate’s Degree in Liberal Arts and is currently working towards her Bachelor’s Degree at Brockport. She enjoys spending time with her family (husband, a dog, and two cats) and friends when she is not at school or work. If she could have a super power, Miss Ciara would want to be able to read minds. Her favorite part of working with children is watching them grow and learn new things.

Miss Sarah is the Toddler 2 Lead Teacher. Sarah holds a associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education. Sarah was born in Michigan and moved to Rochester with her husband Matt in May of 2017. She joined the Full Heart team shortly after that in July 2017. She also relates to children who have allergies or food intolerances as she has Celiac Disease and can’t eat wheat, oats, barley, and rye! Sarah enjoys brush lettering and photography in her free time. She loves seeing her children’s smiling faces each day. Watching them grow and learn how to do things independently is what she loves most about working with toddlers at Full Heart.

Miss Betsy joined the Full Heart Family in November 2017 and has roles as both a curriculum support professional and Preschool co-teacher. She has a degree from SUNY Geneseo in Early Childhood Education and has several years teaching toddlers and preschool aged children. Betsy lives in Perinton with her partner, young daughter, and 4 cats! She would like to be able to teleport herself anywhere in the world at any given time! Betsy is grateful for the trust that parents put in teachers and is thankful that she gets to help shape their future! She loves that everyone she encounters at Full Heart is friendly, genuine, loving, and helpful!

Miss Beverly is extremely excited to be joining the Full Heart team as the Pre-K Lead Teacher! Beverly holds a bachelor’s degree in Performing Arts and a Child Developmental Associate. She has over 6 years of experience teaching Pre-K in a classroom setting as well as 2 years of experience working with Monroe County’s 4-H program both in classroom and off-site settings. When Beverly is not in the classroom, she loves to work both onstage and off with many local theaters, lounge around the house with her cats, and read! If she could have a superpower, Miss Bev would love to be able to understand and converse with animals!

Miss Colleen has been with the Full Heart Family since day one! She feels that her role at Full Heart is very fulfilling and she loves spending time with all the children, seeing them grow and learn, and learning a lot about early childhood development. At home, she has 2 dogs named Levi and Ava. Colleen has been married for 23 years and has a daughter who is in college. She loves walking, reading, and riding horses in her free time. Colleen would choose being able to fly as her super power!

Miss Marissa loves working at Full Heart Child Care because of how invested all the teachers are in the well-being and education of the children. She feels that working in such a great environment makes teachers excited to go to work each day and give the kids your all! Marissa has her CDA and is currently enrolling in classes for Early Childhood Education and Business Administration. She would like to be able to become invisible if she had a super power! In her free time, Marissa enjoys doing] yoga, online shopping, health and fitness activities, and snuggling with her Pomeranian named Jace!

Miss Taylor has worked at Full Heart since January 2018.   She holds a bachelor’s degree in Wildlife Biology from SUNY ESF and is currently enrolled in a master’s program for Education at SUNY Brockport. When she is not working at Full Heart, she enjoys spending time with her friends, working at the barn, riding horses, reading, drawing, and doing lots of homework! She loves animals and would like to be able to converse with them if she had a super power. She enjoys that everyone she encounters at Full Heart is constantly and consistently positive and supportive.

Miss Maya is a floater teacher assistant at Full Heart. She is great with every age group and loves how delightful everyone is to work with. She comes to Full Heart each day with a smile on her face! Maya has an associate’s degree in studio arts and enjoys painting, doing digital art, playing music, and playing video games in her free time. Her and her fiancé, Rae, have a cat named Kalika Automata, who is very crazy, but whom they love very much! Maya thinks it would be really awesome to be able to stop time because then she would have as much time as she needed to do or learn whatever she wanted!

Miss Carin started at Full Heart as a Teacher Assistant in February 2019. Carin lives with her very funny husband of 24 years and has two college-aged sons, Oliver and Henry! She attended Bennington College and RIT. In her free time, Carin enjoys cooking, eating, traveling, more cooking, and cooking while traveling! If she had a super power, she would love to have the power to heal others. Children are Carin’s favorite people. They have only learned to be kind and are honest! She is so excited to join our team and soak up all the snuggles from the children!

Miss Elese is a floating teacher assistant at Full Heart and has worked at the center since June 2017! Elese is studying earth science at SUNY Brockport. When she is not working or in school, she enjoys watching Netflix. Elese has a cat named Nina and 3 sisters. Elese enjoys traveling and would love to be able to go anywhere in the world with just a snap of a finger. Elese loves being able to put a smile on children’s faces after they accomplish something for the first time or have been feeling sad.

Miss Deja joined the Full Heart team in September 2018. Deja is heading to the University at Buffalo in spring 2019 but will stay on as seasonal help! Miss Deja enjoys reading, writing, running, and hanging out with her friends during her free time. She also works at Upper Cervical Chiropractic of Rochester. Deja is the oldest of three siblings and has an Irish Terrier named Obi and a fish named Almond. If Deja could have a super power, it would be the ability to read minds so she could always know what people are thinking. She loves the amount of energy children have and loves how they brighten her day!

Miss Kelly joined the Full Heart staff in March 2019. Kelly is an Early Childhood Education major at SUNY Fredonia and has tons of experience babysitting and learning from her mom who is an educator as well. In her free time, Kelly likes dance, motivational speaking, hanging out with her friends, and writing and blogging. She choreographs dance as well. Kelly is passionate about education and dance and would love to be able to fly through the air if she had a super power. Kelly loves helping children to learn and grow and is looking forward to building connections with the children here at Full Heart.

Miss Andrea joined the Full Heart Family in March 2019. She came to Full Heart with several years working with infants, toddlers, preschool, PreK, and school age children, along with experience as a substitute teacher and special education teacher aide. She has her Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design and studied liberal arts and psychology as well. She is very artistic and enjoys drawing, painting, sculpting, and weaving. Most recently, she has been exploring beyond the world of color and has added multiple instruments to explore. In her free time, Andrea spends time with her daughter, fiance’, cat, and green-cheeked conure (bird). Together, they enjoy camping in the summer, learning musical instruments, riding, baking, and art. If she had a superpower, Andrea would like to heal broken hearts. She believes that everyone’s individuality is their superpower! Andrea loves the importance of connections with children and embracing and igniting their creativity and curiosity. She is exceptional at helping children to manage their emotions through self expression and mindfulness. Andrea is excited to share her love of art, nature, and music with the children here at Full Heart.

Sarah Crumley joined the Full Heart team in May 2019 following the completion of her freshman year at Duquesne University, where she is studying speech pathology. Sarah grew up in Webster, NY, and when she isn’t away at school or spending her days at Full Heart, she enjoys reading, running, and scrapbooking. If she had a superpower, it would be to speak all languages so that she could communicate with people all over the world. Sarah loves working with children because she can be silly, have fun, and laugh a lot with them!

Miss Nina has been with Full Heart Child Care since June of 2017. She opens the building each morning with a smile on her face. She loves getting to work with all of the children in the center. She witnesses so many milestones and that just make her day! She has been working with children for over 15 years and has a 4-year-old daughter who she spends most of her time with! She enjoys working out, roller blading, and spending time with her family and friends when she is not at Full Heart!

Miss Lana started at Full Heart in September of 2017. She is responsible for making breakfast, lunch, and an afternoon snack each day. She also makes and decorates beautiful, delicious cupcakes for each child’s birthday! Lana has three children and a pet fish! She enjoys photography, decorating cakes, and fishing in her free time. She loves to see the children smiling and happy after eating a great lunch each day.
